My floor went unswept, my cat got no attention, and my husband got take-out for supper, all because Julane Hiebert wrote a wonderful story called Wren. I loved this book. It was my favorite of the Brides of a Feather series, and if I am allowed to play favorites, Wren was my favorite of the Wenghold sisters. She is feisty, independent, and acts before she thinks - a sure recipe for trouble. Sam is the laid-back mellow cowboy who admires Wren from afar, though he won't admit it - even to himself. When Sam and Wren find themselves married due to an unfortunate circumstance beyond their control, will they give into despair? Or perhaps they will choose to let God's perfect plan light their pathway to a sweet, fun, and utterly unforgettable romance. Pick up a copy of Robin, Lark and then Wren, saving the best for last. You need all three books in this set to fully enjoy this story of the three sisters with the bird names. Funny story full of twists and turns that make you laugh at times and cry at others. You'll fall in love with the characters......Delightful reading "just for fun".

Cannot miss with one of Julane's stories. Real people in real situations with faith in our Father also real, without that "preachy" feeling. Far from it, in fact. She is a wonderful addition to Christian fiction and I eagerly look forward to her next book!
I must say this was my most favorite of the three sisters. I cried quiet often through this adventure. I couldn't put this book down until I completed it. I absolutely loved it.
This 3rd book in this series was excellent! I laughed and cried as this book pulled on my heartstrings. Historical romance that is interesting & fun to read! One of my favorite authors now!
When we take matters into our own hands, we can really mess it up. Wren Wenghold does just that when she advertises for a husband. I can't say enough good things about Julane Hiebert's Brides of a Feather series. Each book is filled with lovable characters and real life conflict. I read Wren before I read Lark, book 2, because I identified with Wren's character in book 1. I wanted to see what her story was before I went onto Lark.
If you're looking for clean, thoroughly entertaining fun reads, you can't go wrong with Julane Hiebert's books. I'm excitedly waiting for the next one to hit the bookshelves.
The three sisters in this series are determined to make a life for themselves near their Uncle's ranch in Kansas. The youngest, Wren, realizes she will need help, and has not seen anyone she thinks she can live with on previous visits. However, the mail order husband she arranges seems not to share her vision completely. Wren' s penchant for acting without checking with anyone leads to a dangerous situation that reveals the person who really cares the most about her welfare. Being forced into a decision sparks anger and rebellion. Like the potter's clay, she must be totally smashed down and rebuilt to end up in the perfect happily ever after.Once again, Ms. Hiebert captivates us with humor and rich character development.
